This conference-style virtual class will be an in-depth exploration of the complex notions of sexism, gender stereotyping and discrimination that persist in the workplace. It will seek to highlight the specific challenges women face in their careers, whether in terms of access to opportunities, career progression or the working environment itself. By focusing on these issues, the conference aims to raise awareness of persistent inequalities and encourage collective reflection on how to promote genuine gender equality in the workplace. In addition, it will offer moments for reflection and the exchange of ideas, encouraging awareness and concrete action to create more inclusive and equitable working environments.

Julie Dumontier
Julie Dumontier est conseillère en éducation et de coopération à la Commission des droits de la personne et des droits de la jeunesse depuis 2012. Elle a auparavant œuvré dans la promotion des droits humains de même que dans le domaine des technologies en tant que blogueuse, formatrice, rédactrice et coordonnatrice. Après des études de premier et deuxième cycles en lettres et en sciences sociales à l'Université Laval, elle a complété des études de premier et de deuxième cycles en droit à l'Université du Québec à Montréal. Elle se spécialise dans les enjeux touchant les droits des femmes, les droits des personnes LGBTQI+, le harcèlement discriminatoire, les droits dans les technologies ainsi que le plaidoyer.
